Ted Shuttlesworth Jr. has returned back to church activities after he was seen participating in worship at a revival meeting about six months after he stepped away from ministry following revelations about his affair and inappropriate communications with women.
Shuttlesworth, a well-known Pentecostal pastor and evangelist who recently co-pastored Miracle Word Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, acknowledged in February that his behaviour and actions had gone beyond inappropriate conversations and had included s£xual activity with a woman who was not his wife.
In a dated letter to the ministry supporters, Shuttlesworth said he was stepping away from ministry and expressed shame and grief over his deed actions. He also confessed publicly that he had repented to God and his wife, Carolyn, and wanted time to focus on his family and restoration.
On the other hand, Carolyn Shuttlesworth separately acknowledged the fact that her husband had been involved in an affair and multiple inappropriate conversations. She said she would take on greater ministry responsibilities while the couple worked on their marriage and family.
After the situation escalated, it later generated additional allegations from several women, who told Protestia that, Shuttlesworth had allegedly sent s£xually explicit messages and images. Those allegations were reported separately from his own admission of adult£ry and should be distinguished from what he personally acknowledged.
In September, 2026, a new footage and reports placed Shuttlesworth at his father Ted Shuttlesworth Sr.’s revival meetings, where he was seen reportedly playing the piano and helping lead worship.
The appearance marks a notable development because Shuttlesworth had previously announced that he was stepping away from ministry. At the time, however, he did not describe his departure as permanent and said he remained open to another opportunity to serve.
His return to a visible worship role has therefore renewed discussion about the process of restoration, accountability and whether stepping away from ministry for a period of time should eventually be followed by a return to public ministry without notice.
Although, the September report documentary only recorded his participation in worship, but it does not by itself establish that he has formally resumed his former pastoral leadership position.
