Actress Camryn Manheim is currently on the trend after making shocking revelations about her son, actor Milo Manheim, during the Human Rights Campaign’s 2026 National Dinner in Washington, D.C.

Manheim was actually presenting actress Marcia Gay Harden with the organization’s Ally for Equality Award when she openly spoke about her hopes for having a gay son. “I always wanted a gay son,” she told the audience, explaining that she so much loved the relationship between gay sons and their mothers.
She then recalled back to her son’s childhood, saying, I have photographs of my son in high heels, in full drag, he knows every word to every musical. Manheim then joked about it that she believed she had the situation “locked up,” but said her son ultimately became the only straight man in his musical-theater company, opposing her wants and wishes.
While still speaking, Manheim also recalled there was a conversation between her and Harden from about a decade ago, when Harden told her that her son has finally come out as gay. According to Manheim, her immediate response was, “Oh my God. You are so fückïng lucky.”
