Kirk Cameron and his son James Kirk have once again raised serious concerns about the self-proclaimed apostle/pastor Kathryn Krick, questioning the authenticity and source power behind her viral healing and deliverance videos in her ministry.
During a recent episode of The Kirk Cameron Show, James introduced his father to Krick’s background and online ministry, which includes some videos showing alleged exorcisms and a moment of dramatic spiritual manifestations. James, shocked seeing all that, questioned whether some of the scenes could be staged, arguing that Krick’s previous acting ambitions may have influenced the way some encounters are presented.
He also shows his concerns about the language surrounding Krick’s spiritual mentor, saying the action and praise directed toward the leader resembled what he labelled as a “Cult Leader Language.” James warned that claiming supernatural authority while using God to gain influence and for self used could become especially dangerous.
Kirk mainly focused on Kathryn is on what he described as the financial side of the ministry, asking why viewers should be allowed to donate during livestream deliverance sessions on TikTok if all of this is not for money.
He did not just ask Christians to simply accept his personal opinion, rather Cameron presented them with a five-part biblical test for evaluating questionable ministries. The test examines whether teachings agree with Scripture (1 Thessalonians 5:21; Acts 17:11), whether Christ or the leader receives the attention (Matthew 7:15–20), whether the gospel remains central (Galatians 1:8–9), what spiritual fruit the ministry produces (Matthew 7:15–20), and whether followers are encouraged to test teachings against Scripture (1 John 4:1).
Cameron highlighted that Christians should not determine another person’s eternal destiny but should practice biblical discernment and distinguish truth from error.
